Emory Electric Company History
Emory Electric was established in 1978 by Wilburn Emory, Jr. After many years of working with area Electrical Contractors, Wilburn decided to form his own company. Mr. Emory found his niche in residential and small commercial construction work. During the early years, Emory's son Tim kept the company books while attending college. In that time Wilburn earned the reputation of being able to meet ambitious schedules while keeping the clients budget intact. Upon his graduation from college in 1984, Tim joined the firm full time. With Tim's leadership, the firm decided to pursue larger projects focusing more on the commercial and industrial markets. The company experienced tremendous growth during the late 80's and early 90's growing into a regional force in their market. Emory is now licensed in eight states across the southeast and considered by many of our customers to be the premier Electrical Contractor in the area. Although Mr. Emory retired in 2003, the Emory Team continues to draw upon the work ethic instilled by their founder. We truly are an organization "striving to achieve excellence".
